ONGOING Internship Program LEADERS for FUTURE (Ongoing LF) takes place on an ongoing basis. The minimum duration of the program is two weeks. The application period is approximately 1 month.

 The program offers the possibility to determine how flexible and content-rich the program should be. Ongoing LF is open to all age groups: whether you are a school pupil or a student, unemployed or employed, anyone can take part in this program.

Travel

The program offers an opportunity to travel to Germany and experience German culture and language hands-on. Within the program there is also the possibility to visit other European countries.

Language

During the program you will improve your German and English language skills. There will be organized German courses to get to know better the German culture and mentality.

 

Networking

The program offers numerous opportunities to make new friends, establish professional contacts and form new collaborations. You will also be trained to improve your communication skills.

Experience

During the program there is an opportunity to gain unique work experience in Germany. At the same time, you will improve professional and social skills and acquire new ones.

 

Requirements

Accommodation

Program participants will be accommodated in the comfortable and furnished apartments of the Copernicus Berlin Campus (CBC). The apartments are centrally located and consist of single and double rooms. High-speed internet and cable television are also available. In addition, there is a laundry service on campus.

CBC is located in the center of Berlin. Nearby are the sights of Berlin: Alexanderplatz, Berlin Cathedral, Museum Island, East Side Gallery, Warschauer Straße, Oberbaumbrücke and more. Numerous parks and sports facilities make life on campus pleasant and healthy. In the surrounding area you can also find large shopping malls, supermarkets, organic food stores, bakeries, pharmacies, hospitals, gyms, tennis courts, swimming pools and much more. You can also walk to the famous clubs and pubs like KitKatClub, Berghain, Watergate, Matrix and others.

Copernicus Berlin Campus is also well connected by public transportation. There are several buses, subways and suburban trains nearby. So you can reach any place in Berlin in very short time.

Program participants can also apply for partial scholarship or participate at their own costs.

Partial SCHOLARSHIP

Medium competition

  • Pocket money is paid monthly;
  • The costs for liability insurance,  social meetings, administration, welcome package, cultural events, international seminars, consulting, mentoring and workshops are covered directly by COPERNICUS BERLIN;
  • Travel expenses are not covered.
  • Participant needs to cover the cost for accommodation at the Copernicus Berlin Campus completely themselves.

For the successful application is required a complete chronological curriculum vitae. It should be written chronologically and in German or English.

During the LEADERS for FUTURE Program, participants are accommodated in a comfortable and furnished apartment at the Copernicus Berlin Campus in the heart of Berlin.

The apartment consists of 3 rooms: Single bedroom, two-bed room and living room. There are only three participants in the apartment. Each participant has his/her own bed, desk, closet and private internet connection. Kitchen and bathroom are shared by the three participants.

No. Participants should take care of their own food.

No. The costs for water, hot water, heating, internet and cable TV are paid directly by Copernicus Berlin.

The internship is an important part of the LF program and is designed to provide international work experience and to develop personal and professional skills. The COPERNICUS BERLIN team will support the LF participants with advice and assistance. There will be also offered internships at COPERNICUS BERLIN.

YES. Berlin is considered a safe destination for international travelers but as with many other major cities, pickpocketing is somewhat common in the busy city center and crowded tourist attractions. For your safety, its best to always remain alert and be aware of your surroundings.
