About Position: As a Social Media Specialist at COPERNICUS BERLIN, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to inform a broad audience about the work we do and the opportunities we offer, while also attracting our target group to apply for our projects. You will be an integral part of our social media team, responsible for managing our presence on major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
- Develop engaging and relevant content that highlights COPERNICUS BERLIN’s mission, initiatives, scholarship opportunities, and success stories.
- Manage and maintain our social media accounts, ensuring consistent posting schedules and engaging with our online community.
- Foster meaningful interactions with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other teams within COPERNICUS BERLIN to plan and execute social media campaigns to promote events, training courses, and projects.
- Monitor social media performance using analytics tools to track key metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and algorithm changes, adapting our strategies accordingly. Explore new platforms and trends for potential outreach.
- Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent and organized posting schedule.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts.
- Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the education and non-profit sectors is a plus.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a bonus).
